If you are not instantly approved and they ask for poi then yes you will have to submit tax returns for Penfed and NASA. 1099s won't be enough for self employed. I was just lucky to be instantly approved for Penfed. NASA denied me for too much credit.
This is an old thread. However, I have received a letter from RBFCU saying they will be reporting my LOC to the CRA's. It implies the open date will be accurate. They are not going to report it as a new tradeline.
