Scoreorbescored's trifecta just got me all hyped. But he doesn't have the mega lines yet that you all have. He's building his portfolio. That may have something to do with their generosity.

True. Or maybe Scoreorbescored is just well connected with the financial elite, or quite possibly made them an offer they couldn't refuse Smiley Wink

Dang woody!! Dont you just hate it when these analysts give you a spanking??? Congrats on your new card. You'll get that limit up. That info certainly helps me stay in garden. I'm already over $150k in lines. Smiley Sad

I was pulling for ya Woody wish it was the full 10k,

Baller4life, I didn't want to be a debbie downer but this sounds like the RBFCU that i've known for years they tease with great rates and limits and seem to really support their members but the prime cl & rate seem to only be reserved for the military elite and those with exceptional profiles Smiley Sad . Maybe Zorasmiles and Ron 1 know otherwise but thats been my history and others who are members have shared with me as well but thats from the past.

That's the RBFCU I know!!  Looks like they haven't changed lol  Trust me, they weren't credit limit friendly when I maintained less than four CC's and an auto loan.  I don't think they are as military friendly as USAA or PenFED.  They rank maybe a step ahead of SACU in my book lol  I guess this is why they only get an allotment from me into my checking account.  I won't waste a HP on them anytime soon Smiley LOL

FICO scores are your calling card to the business world. Build a negative reputation and those doors are hard to open, find that perfect balance of credit responsibility and those doors open when you desire them.

This was years ago but I remember my signifgant other at the time switching from her hometown bank to RBFCU and she had prime credit scores in the mid 700's, mulitple CL lines and she requested LOC for her checking she said no problem and said 'Congratulations' we got you approved and the loan officer would like to speak with you.

Hello and welcome I am pleased to offer you a LOC of $250 today Congratualtions, SO was like oh is that all, I had 10k in the account I closed? Yes, well looking at your credit I noticed you have alot of available credit and we would like to get to know you over time. You may want to consider closing some of the cards like SPG, etc..... Smiley Mad

LOL That about sums them up!  My comment to the LO was my income and credit history are both sufficient enough to allow a better CL.  No dice.  Received the preo-approval mailer for an auto loan and decided "Sure, I was already considering another BMW".  Found the vehicle I wanted, dropped into the branch and was given an APR that made me have chest pains LOL  I laughed and said "No, thank you."  Walked over to the teller and withdrew everything except $50 in savings and $50 in checking.  LO asked me for a minute as I was walking out and I told him "I needed to catch my main CU before they closed to make a deposit and pick up my loan check for my auto". LOL

This might explain why at the new branches you have very little people contact, everything is done via a teller tube and or Video conference.

Okay mixed opinions... YMMV holds true for most cases.   I will likely still open an account with them in May and go for a HELOC.
