Recon advice

FICO 721

AAoA 1.2yrs

10 credit cards

18% util

I was approved for the Marriott card with a $5k limit on Saturday, applied for Amex Gold and Chase British Airways immediately after and both went to pending. Any advice on how to handle recon calls? Or maybe just wait for decision to come through mail and go from there? I've never done a recon call and not quite sure what/how to do it. Any advice is appreciated!

UPDATE: Gold was approved!

Applied for EveryDay Preffered, went to pending, called recon and got approved!

Called recon for British Airways and was denied due to too many recent inquiries, but won't call again so I can reduce the impact on my AAoA.

From what I've seen, Chase always goes pending. I guess they like going over paperwork.

It is all up to you if you want to wait for a letter before calling.  With Chase you have 30 days to recon and they are also getting stricter with application sometimes stating you cannot do 2 applications in a month.  But have been wishy-washy when to comes to this particular policy of 2 cards in a month.

Just got my approval email from American Express. I checked my Experian credit report and the hard pull went through today, does that mean if I apply for an American Express credit card today that the I would only get one hard pull?

AFAIK a credit card and charge card in one day is a single pull
