Hello myFico Community!
I know there is a difference in minimum starting limit being $5K/ 10K respectively. If you qualify for more, would there be a difference in SL based on the product you applied for i.e. Signature vs. Infinite? Would be interesting to see the internal process for that. Especially for cards that offer both versions simultaneously.
I just received my Ritz rewards card and it's a Signature with a CL of 5K. I guess I'm at the ceiling with Chase on the credit line they want to extend to me, so I got the Signature version. AF of $395. I don't think you have an option to choose between Infinite or Signature, or do you? Nevertheless, I'm happy with the approval.
There are still some links floating around for the Signature. I applied this morning to secure the $395 AF. I know many have received high SL for that version. Was wondering if there was an internal difference when factoring the SL for the Signature versus the Infinite once you surpass the 10K minimum SL for the latter.
I was approved for this card last month and it is a VS with a $8.5k CL and annual fee of $395. I wanted to get my foot in the door b4 the annual increased. I was told that my card will be upgraded to an Infinite eventually but they did not have an ETA of when.
They are also going to honor the new offer as well. So I added an authorized user and will receive 10k bonus points and will receive three nights after spending $5k in three months.
Nice job getting them to match the current bonus! Do you think you would have been approved for over $10K if you would have applied for the Infinite, or were you reaching your total credit exposure with Chase? I wonder since they gave you $3.5K more then the minimum for the Signature version, would they have done the same for the Infinite landing you $13.5K... answers we may never get and can only speculate until more DP come in ![]()
Also is Chase known to grandfather annual fees for the long run, or will they most likely ask us to pay the new AF of $450 once the card expires? I'm not sure how they have handled other phased out products.

GTC471 did you app on the 395 or did you app on the 450. Ive had my card for a few years and was grandfathered in to infinite at $395.
After last week i didnt think there was a signature ritz card anymore. They are supposed to be sending out the new cards. I was told mine would come in 2018 but im gonna guess it will be here before then.
I don't remember which I one I apped for. I thought there was only the Infinite that's available. I'll have to call Chase and find out if the bonus will come with the 2 night or 3 night free when you meet the required purchases. I'm just a little hesitant to call and trigger a manual review and I'll end up with my cards getting closed by Chase. The link that came to my email always forwards me to the Infinite site.
Mine was automatically upgraded, I called in to ask about it and she said the account reflects the new perks, but the card would only be changed after expiration. I called in 2 hours later and said I lost my card and an infinite showed up the next day.

That's very convenient or just coincidence?
I'm afraid if I try that Chase will say, "Since you can't even keep a physical card safe, we'll just close that account. Seems like you have opened way too many accounts the last 6 months anyway. I'm sure you have something to use". Maybe I'll ask in 6 mos. Perhaps I've reached the credit ceiling Chase want to extend to me at this point anyway. Maybe that's why I got the Signature since I didn't qualify for the $10K limit Inifinite requries to qualify.
@GTC471 I think we might have been part of the final few to apply for the Signature version. It seems that Chase declines applicants for the new Ritz if you don't qualify for the $10K minimum CL. Unlike BoA who will approve you for a Platinum version if you don't qualify for the $5K SL of the Signature.
I also applied for the Signature to be grandfathered into the old fee. It seems that all the previous application links automatically redirect to the new Infinite application, so that may be where your confusion comes from.
In terms of credit exposure it seems that Chase averages around 50-60% of your income with some qualifying for more others for less.
