Re: SDFCU Application Process ???

I've been there a few times so far, but still pending. Got my fingers crossed, but am preparing for the decline. Think I'll be forced to wait a few month's till I get my TU cleaned up and my newest cards, Cap One and hopefully SDFCU, are posting. I'm going to call tomorrow afternoon if the pending status doesn't change. Thanks !!

Pending isn't always a bad thing with Amex. It can go either way. You might want to call in and ask if there's any info you can provide.

Well, apparently you were correct. I went to the Amex status webpage this morning and saw the "approved". So felt really good. Until I than opened my email and saw I had an alert from EQ (not EX). Went to EQ and found out SDFCU pulled my credit again. After receiving and having to sign the SDFCU "truth in lending" and loan doc's yesterday, I thought I was "in" with them and done. Apparently not. I also had to send them a copy of my drivers license this morning. I have absolutely no idea now what the outcome with SDFCU will be. Guess I'll cross my fingers. SDFCU definitely does things a bit different. Stay tuned........ Thanks for everyone's help.

Re: SDFCU Application Process ???

Back to being "high again". I made a mistake. While I did receive an alert from EQ, it was to let me know SDFCU pulled my CR from EX. I totally forgot that with all the CA's monitoring service, they not only monitor their own CR's, but every CA reports. So SDFCU did NOT do a second HP with EQ. EQ simply alerted me that I had received an HP on my EX. Crazy. EQ actually alerted me quicker about an HP on EX, than did EX itself. So I believe I'm "still good to go" with SDFCU. Sorry for the confusion.

Re: SDFCU Application Process ???

Congrats on the Amex approval.  Did you try as well for another card?  What offer did you apply for under for the PRG?

Re: SDFCU Application Process ???

I really wanted to apply for a 2nd card, maybe a BCE or something, but after I initially applied, I received the following email and I held off from putting in a 2nd application:

"We are excited that you've decided to apply for the Premier Rewards Gold Card, and we're reviewing your application now. We promise to let you know when we're finished, or if we need more information.

While we're reviewing your application, please don't apply for another Premier Rewards Gold Card. Thank you for your interest in American Express."

It only requests that I "don't put in for another Premier Rewards Gold Card", but should I try applying, possibly calling AMEX and request another card under the same HP from today ??? I've read where people who put in multiple applications that Amex pulled EX for the first, but than pulled EQ and TU for the second application. I'd hate to have another HP, and my chances of being approved if they pull EQ, or worse yet, TU, would be significantly less. My EX score is 790, but my EQ is 720 and TU like 670. Should I try and call today and ask if I could possibly get one of their "credit cards" under the same, initial EX HP from earlier today, or just leave well enough alone ??? Thanks.

Re: SDFCU Application Process ???

So I called Amex just now to ask about applying for the BCE card under the same EX HP from a few hour's ago. The lady stated she can't confirm either way. She said Amex requires a credit check for each and every application, even if it's all in the same day. She said if you apply for 3 card's, they'll "most likely pull 3 separate HP's". With that said, she did say that's NOT in stone, and there's a 50/50 chance they may just pull once. In other words, she wouldn't guarantee me they would or wouldn't pull again if I apply for a 2nd card today. I don't really need another CC at this point. So should I just garden with these new cards and hit Amex up for the BCE in 6 months OR pull the trigger and go for the BCE today ??? Hmmmm, decisions, decisions. Advice ??? Thanks !!!

Re: SDFCU Application Process ???

Did you actually apply today or last night?

Has to be on the same day for the 1 HP thing.

Nothing to lose. Smiley Happy

Re: SDFCU Application Process ???

Also... I don't really know why people bother calling CCC's.

You can get all the information you need here or FT, and the frontline CSRs know almost nothing.

CCC's do multiple HPs per day. CRAs merge them into one if they come from the same puller on the same day.

The point of the charge + revolver is that the revolver denial is a SP.

Re: SDFCU Application Process ???

I applied at 1 AM this morning, about 13 hrs ago. Not sure what that constitutes. I'm thinking I should probably just sit tight and be extremely happy with what I've been approved for do far. I did the Amex prequal prior to applying for the Gold Rewards and it showed nothing. I just did it again while on their website hoping for a BCE or the other Blue Cash card, but still showing no offers. I've got that itchy finger knowing it's probably 50/50 on the HP and possible approval. Also in the back of my mind is the fact the Gold Rewards wasn't instantly approved and went "pending". Granted it wasn't like I had to Recon to get the Gold, so who knows why that went pending. Perhaps the 6 - 7 recent injuries on EX was the reason it went pending. So should I apply for BCE or just wait a few month's ??? Advice appreciated. Thank you!!!!
