Hey all,
Well I broke out of the garden earlier after the wife and I decided to rent instead of buy a house. I was approved earlier for a Sallie Mae WMC ($3,800 woot!) and figured since I was out of the garden anyway, thanks pizza1, another app couldn't hurt.
Since we moved to Colorado we're now eligible to join SSFCU and I figured it couldn't hurt to ding up my TU a little bit more. Barclays obviously pulled TU, and according to Credit Pulls, SSFCU should do the same. Got all my info typed in, hit submit and my application is now pending... BOO. I'd rather have an instant decision (either way), so if it was declined I could try Chase's AARP before calling it quits. I thought about going for a Lowe's card too, but with just renting, I figured we could wait until after we bought the house to try for that one.
If the SSFCU card is approved I'll have a dining card, Sallie Mae gives me groceries and gas, I have a 2% general spend with my NFCU Flagship, a couple back up 1.5% cards (NFCU cashRewards, Cap1 Quicksilver), I have a hotel card (Marriott), an airline card (Amex Delta Gold), a rotating 5% (Chase Freedom)... I might have everything covered that I can think of... Bummer lol ![]()

Sorry to hear OZ , has there been any update from them? You do have some prime cards and a good score.

I checked this afternoon around lunch time and saw it was declined
They listed these three reasons/options, I dunno what you want to call them...
We will reconsider your request w/additional same household income.
We will reconsider your request with a qualified co-signer.
Exhibit excessive obligations for listed income.
I'm not sure what "with additional same household income" means. And maybe by "exhibit excessive obligations for listed income" means I have too much available credit? *shrug*
When I saw it was the SSFCU app was declined, I apped for the Chase AARP and was instantly approved for $4000. That was way nicer than the 12+ hour wait only for decline with SSFCU... Live and learn I 'spose.

Sorry about your denial. Congrats on your Chase approval. I didn't know they were tough to get approved. I'm surprised you got denied.
Ron.
Your only highish limits are the NFCU cards so I guess that spooked them? They're not a small CU and your CLs aren't that high so I'm surprised by the reasoning, but sorry for the denial.
