Hi everyone,
Although I might be new to myFico forum, I was peeking around few posts recently to increase my knowledge on credit score, bureau agencies etc. Last year I applied to Chase freedom in november nd was rejected due to less history. yeah, it was just six months old. Thin file.
Now, I'm in a plan of building my credit, so went around few posts to get essense of good Credit cards. Currently I own Discover IT, 3250 limit. As per few recommends here at myFico, I applied to Chase Freedom again yesterday. I contacted them to check the status later yesterday and understood that they need address proof to verify my new address. They are gonna send a snail mail to my address with app details and I have to revert to them with my Address proof.
I'm not completely sure about this procedure or If this is gonna work as I already received a reject last year. It is 5 months since then.
As per CreditKarma, my TransUnion is at 735,
As per Credit.com my Experian is at 745
How much time do you guys think it is gonna take for this entire process ?
Do you guys suggest me any other way to get Chase freedom?

@Anonymous,
Welcome to MYFICO.. If Chase didn't deny you outright then I wouldn't worry about last year denial (see blue highlight). Lets leave that in 2014 and start afresh. The process of address verification can take 2 weeks. Call them tomorrow to see if you can send in a FAX to verify address instead of snail mail.
Also, when deciding to apply know what your FICO scores are not CK scores as that is what most of them use. You can get them on this site.
Thank you so much for replying.
For the credit scores, thanks for suggestion. But it looks like myFico is a paid service. Do you guys suggest any other way to get free scores, from all three? Just wondering if there are any other ways

From MYFICO, you'd have to pay. But there are credit cards that give you free FICOs. For example, the Chase Slate will give you your EX score, Barclays & Discover will give a free TU FICO score and so much more. But it is not free on the site.

You don't own Discover it.
@yes
yes, I receive FICO score on my Discover IT every month. It should be TransUnion as you mentioned. It is too somewhere around 740's right now. I think it should be good enough to for Chase Freedom.
@peace. Sorry, what do you mean?
I'm using Discover IT.

You don't own Discover it.
The term "OWN" is used loosely.. For example, people who have mortgages and still owe on their houses will often say I own my home. Nothing wrong with that so if OP says I own a Discover IT, there is nothing wrong with that.
Unless you want to enlighten us as to what you mean with your post.
@peace
I mean't to say I'm using Discover IT card. I don't own any property took on loan. My bad
@yes
Thanks for clearing it.
Also, I need one more help. I'm thinking of applying to Amex Blue Cash as an alternate if I'm denied for Chase Freedom. Could you let me know from which credit bureaus does these two pull their hard request usually. I know Chase does a double pull, but I'm not sure about specific bureaus.
Also, would there be any drastic reduce in my credit score if I get 2 hard pulls (chase and Amex) in a single month?
What would you advice, should I go and apply for Amex too before starting Chase freedom or apply after 3 months?

No Problem.. Amex usually pulls EX but there are a few instances of them pulling other bureaus but mostly Experian. Amex usually does 1 hardpull. Applying for 2 cards is not much but your scores depending on which bureau is pulled will take an initial hit - reduce your score. But should get the points back within 6months to a year as the inquiry ages...
You have already applied for the Chase Freedom so I will go ahead and apply for the Amex also.. Let us know the results on your Amex...
