Should I Apply for Another CC while Application Under Review - BoA

Howdy All

Allready have a Cash Rewards CC with BoA so I applied for a BoA Travel Rewards Visa on July 5.

Experian Pulled.

The Application showed - under review. I revieved a letter dated July 5 just yesterday saying their records showed it was a duplicate request, so it would not be processed. I Phoned them today and spoke to someone who then phoned, I'm guessing the credit approval analysts. The person came back and said that the application was under review and that to check back online and that a letter would be sent out after review. 

Ok, So I am playing the waiting game...

Was just curious if it might be worth it to apply for another card somewhere else?

Not too worried regarding my score as it already took a ding for the BoA pull, yet my score has not changed...

Without much information or data points in your OP, you can always apply for another product with another lender, but the results will largely depend on your overall profile.

Ok Data Points Below:

686 FICO Score 8 Equifax

692 FICO Score 8 TransUnion

670 FICO Score 8 Experian

No negatives, Everything Paid on Time and Over the Minimum

Spoke with someone at BoA yesterday and was told the Application was still under review... Went online to check mid-morning today and still shows under review.

Since you already have the BoA Cash Rewards and you are awaiting a decision on the Travel Rewards, what other cards do you currently have? Are you looking specifically for a travel or rewards card, general purpose or...?

Still Pending...

You could give their UW number a try whether it's anything that could speed things up or if you prefer to wait it out.

At least it's still pending and not declined.

Thats my thought too. I think I'll just wait and see. Either way, I plan on updating the outcome here...
