Hi, new user who reported about Discover It approval a couple of days ago.
Wondering if I can apply and be approved for those cards I've mentioned above, BAs are cash rewards and travel rewards,
BW is Bank of the West, BNP Paribas
Super thin history, first one Capital One Secured last Summer, then applied like mad, getting rejected tons, like 20 or more and recently had 4 or 5 rejects mid Jan. Have 5 CCs and 2 store cards(Citi Best Buy, Amazon. CBB never used, Zon used a lot). Savor One hasn't been reported yet(used about a month), and Discover It just got approved. So average cc age is like 6 months(that's especially for Citi DC and CFF) I guess?
I was actually surprised that I got approved for Disco, did use prequal page for it though and it helped. I think those rejects last month were right after getting Savor One approved; so should I just stop right there, to ward off probable rejects again.
Experian just got lowered from 711 to 704(bc of credit usage? charged about 900 for COSO, 2000 limit, about half that amunt for Citi DC, 1000 limit), Eq the same 700 or so, TU got lowered 1 pt from 726 to 725. I pay many times incrementally, satisfying stmt balance usually way earlier than due date, so in that respect, excellent. paid about half of that SO debt, almost all of CDC.
But if all those reject letters saying too many credit inquiries still holds, maybe should just garden, at least 6 months? Getting approved for one more card, even 2, will be great but not too hopeful frankly. So, just want to consult here first; thank you!
P.S. Get checking acct offers from Citi constantly, and some personal loan offers. Maybe taking personal loan will be good for credit score(diversification)? Some reject letters mentioned that, no loan.

Short answer: no
You need to slow your roll. You are getting denied for excessive credit seeking and the only fix is to quit applying. let your accounts age.
yeah I guess..thank you!

"Maybe" you should just garden? There's no "maybe" about it. You need to chill out, for at least 6 months, and preferably for 12 months. You have enough credit cards for now.
As others said you might want to slow down and stay in the garden. However Affinity as a credit union might be willing to consider your application even though you have many inquiries. Worth calling Affinity and ask them before you apply.

thx guys for the candor yeah i think i'm covered for now, excessive hunting to fill up those bonus category niches lol. would like cff auto increase, 6 month coming up but some say they rarely do, really 500 is not enough even for auto rental lol.
affinity, yes it looks good but right now i really need most is gas 3% for next month and it's only 2% there. if there's no prequal page for soft pull i should just chill out and garden, methinks getting discover it cash back was lucky, considering the circumstances. again much appreciated!
