Nah.
That's just how high it will go if all things remain unchanged.
Mine is higher, and last denial I got was for lack of use.
I do use it but it's hard to put a decent dent on a card with quarterly categories when the limit is high.
The limit on your card is adequate if not generous, there is very little motivation for Discover to increase.
In fact, we should all feel lucky they don't go CLD cray cray over the lack of use.

Started at 6K I think. Upped to 16K in Jan/2018 and then to 18K Sep/2018.
I haven't tried a CLI on the card since because I don't use it very much.
I'll put a couple of hundred on it like every 3 months.
I have about 12 cards and I'm always under 1% UTI.
Clean reports with Disco showing me a score of 783
Since it is only a SP I was thinking whatt could I lose?
2 Questions...
Since I do not use the card very often could I be opening myself up for a CLD instead?
How important is using the card to Disco for DLI's?
Don't let what happend with me sway you - but before seeing your post, I noticed I haven't tried for a CLI on my Discover in 268 days so I said, oh, what the heck, maybe I will be successful! *DENIED*. Its funny, I was putting spend on it the last several months and I thought *maybe* this would be different this time, but alas no, same ol same ol. At one time, 18+ months ago, I could request a CLI from Discover every 45-days or so and always get $500. Not anymore. That will be the last time I try Discover for a CLI. I wont get lured again
I keep trying from time to time, always DENIED. Saw this post, went for it, approved for 1.5k cli. had 8K CL before.
You can hit that love button every 30 days if you want. But you will need to be putting some good spend on there. That's where I'm at. I don't use the card enough to get any limit increases at the moment.

You can hit the luv button every day if one wanted. Theres no preset limit on when you can smash. Honestly spend isnt going to determine if you get approved or not as dps are so all over the place . Any lender likes spend on their card but its a crapshoot with Discover if the monkeys dart lands on your account in that moment 😉

At least with my wife's account, spend matters. The monkeys with darts might be too generous
@raisemysc0re wrote:I did get denied. Looks like 20K is the limit for this card anyways so no big loss.
I'll wait for the denial letter to see tthe reason they give me.
Sorry to hear it.
I got denied last weekend. Got the letter yesterday saying "low usage in previous months".
I have quite a bit more spend on it right now, maybe ill try it again next month.
Good luck with it next time!
