I like my QS card. I'm currently paying it down, but I had enough cash back saved up to make a payment and then some. I plan of keeping it, and just recently got a CLI.
Good stuff here so far, I'll just add to do the math to make sure the AF on the Venture is worth a PC.
Basically, if you don't spend $12k or more each year you're better off with a QS after you subtract the Venture's $59 AF. Also keep in mind the Venture "miles" are really just cash back for travel expenses, while the QS rewards are actual 'cash' with no restrictions.
That said, I would recommend to anybody looking for a new Capital One card to give the Venture a good look if they were primarily seeking rewards and didn't need a 0% promo. I got a Venture WEMC a few weeks ago, and before the first AF is due I plan to PC to a QS WEMC to have the best of both worlds.
Just my 2¢.
Op,
Iwouldn't pc. Just app for a new Venture for the sign up bonus.
Then before you fee hits combine limits ot pc Venture to QS.

Thanks for the replays. I'll keep the Quicksilver and apply for the Venture sometime later this year or maybe since I won't product change the Barclay Arrival Plus. Any comments on it?
I've had the Venture card, but never had the Arrival Plus, so I can't say for sure, but IMHO
-its benefits are similar to the Venture
-the starting limits are good but not as good as the Venture
-I'm sure it doesn't have the no-fee or no-interest balance transfer offers which Venture keeps offering
-Barclays is a flighty bank, while Capital One is a straight shooter
-Barclays does give you a once a month view of your FICO 8 Transunion score, while Capital One gives you a weekly look at your less valuable TU Vantage score
-the Venture is one of the nicest cards out there esthetically (if that matters which I guess it doesn't )
To me the Venture gets the slight nod.
