First I might have posted this in approvals so this is a repost. I am new here so tried to move it to applications but was unsuccessful.
I am getting ready to apply for chase slate to get some balances transferred. Would somone know if it is good to request a balance transfer during application in terms of approval and higher credit limit or its good to wait after it is approved.
Any assigned SL would largely depend on a variety of factors including your overall profile, income, DTI, etc. So, placing a specific dollar amount as far as a BT from the get-go would not necessarily influence the limit you'd receive if approved.

You can request a BT once the application is approved because by that time you would already know your SL and the BT limit as well. So you don't necessarily have to wait
