Soft pull CU?

Now that SDFCU has begun HP for membership, is anybody aware of one that doesn't?  Quick research found an outside forum post about 4 yrs old claiming that Stanford FCU does (did) SP, but I don't find reference to it on myfico.

Re: Soft pull CU?

Alliant CU SPd both my membership and share secured loan. I did not open a checking/credit account yet as those will likely be HP. No data on a secured cc as I'm no longer in need of one.

Side note - they HPd my wife when we later added her to the account as a joint member.

Re: Soft pull CU?

IMO if a CU HP's for membership is not a good way to decide which CU to join.  For example, NFCU pulls for membership.  However, they are a great CU to help rebuild after a BK.

For what it is worth: Alliant, Elements (formerly ELFCU), RBFCU, SDFCU, (NC) SECU and SSFCU were only SP's for me to join.   It is possible others besides SDFCU may now also HP for membership.
