Sportsman's Guide

I did apply for the Sportsman's Guide Visa on 3/16 2015 and was denied.

My score has jumped proabbly 46 points since then and is now around 718.

Is it too soon to reapply in July?

It's been over 3 months, you should be good to try again. Good luck!

With a score of 718, don't waste a hard inquiry by applying.

You can probably get the Sportsman's Guide VISA without a Hard Inquiry by using the Shopping Cart trick.

Re: Sportsman's Guide

I agree with the SCT approach.

I got it last month with a SP.

I try to seduce them with a shopping cart filled with items so that the total is at least over 50.  I wanted this Visa with the SCT and I put their Buyers Club membership in the cart and it did work for me.

My scores were about 670 then.

Re: Sportsman's Guide

When you were successful getting this card through SCT, were you signed in to your account? Thanks

I believe I  was NOT signed into my account.  I seem to remember that I couldn't get it until I checked out as guest.

The important thing is to add the Sportmansguide Buyers Club membership thing (looks like a deer with a circle) and checkout as Guest...that's what worked for me.

No, not signed in, just as guest.

Other people have tried using a differrent browser or with Private or Incognito mode also.

My SCT gave me $5K SL.  I have several INQ recently, BK7 showing, and my scores were around 700.

I loaded up my shopping cart and I included the "membership" as well.  I signed in as guest adn BAM!  POP UP SUCCESS!

Be a guest or use a incognito window. Add the membership and you should get a pop up in check out.

Yep, I was never able to get the popup until I did that.
