Stash Synchrony Affidavit of Identity Need input

I applied for Stash about 2 weeks ago, I got a letter in the mail stating:

Thank you for recent credit application with STASH HOTEL REWARDS in order to complet processing of your credit application we require additional information from you, and they told me to call a number.  I DID and now they sent me an affidavit of Identity that I need to take to my bank and have it notorized by the bank and fax it or mail it to them.

My question for the group should I jump through the hoops, the bank is on the way after I get off work.  However I don't want to go through the hoops if I am going to get denied.

Just my opinion,  but you've already got hit with the HP.  Why not go by and waste a few minutes to take care of what they need.

I would think they wouldn't even bother asking if they were just planning on denying you.  But anything is possible.  Still be worth a little aggravation for me to find out that is if you really want the card.

Update:  Just got back from the bank.  Called them on the way home, was approved for a low start of $2900
