UHMM,there is only one way to put this...
Chase, A hard shell to crack. This will be,for you.
My wife applied for the C$R yesterday and received the 7-10 days notice ( I know that means a decline most of the time), called the customer service line and was told that the application is still pending and can't recon at this moment. Does anyone know if she can apply for a Freedom Unlimited and Chase will use the same hard pull? Is there a time limit from the date of the application of the C$R? She still have a CH 7 BK showing on her CR (will be 5 years post discharged in NOV 2016 with a n EX 2008 FICO 715 and EQ 2008 FICO 728), so please do not tell me that she wasted a hard pull for nothing, I already know that. Will post the outcome soonest, I have the same profile and got the CSP approved a month ago. She is at 3/24 in terms of credit cards and alert show that the EX report pulled.
Update
It is official, couldn't get an approval from an underwriter during recon, no harm done, 1 inquiry on EX, first decline for my wife and I in 3 years.
Latest update
Called to recon of the recosisderation, the 2nd underwriter said that the first underwriter did not take into consideration the rebuilt effort and banking relationship since the BK. He updated the file and sent it forward for possible approval, at least it is not a straight denial. Keeping fingers crossed until the decision is made. Check the robo application line and the message has been changed to 30 days.
Update 28 SEP
Guess what? dw got approved for a C$R with a 10K limit, BK still on the CR along with Chase IIB in the CH 7. Think it is all luck depending on the underwriter you get when you called in for recon, along with many factors includling income, debt ratio, 5/24. inquiries and your rebuilt history.
@morgacj2004
Thanks, I am more excited about the approval than my dw, she couldn't care less, it is a challenge for me to get in after 5 years, AXP Delta is next on my radar in DEC.
@MILOfico
I have no clues what the key factors are, if there was, you guys would of figured them out already. If I have to guess, they look at the overall picture including FICO, rebuilt history, banking relation, income etc... btw the Chase accounts IIB didn't even come up with the recon
