Still holding on the decision for my Gold Delta application from Amex. They already put a rush delivery "if" approved. Haven't received a hard pull yet so we will see what happens. day 5. approved for BCP on 03/10/17 and applied for Gold Delta on 03/27/17

Have you heard back from Amex? I was also given the 5 day hold on 3/27 but have not received an answer yet.
Haven't heard anything from them besides the fact that it might take till next Friday.

Asking cuz I thought you had to wait 30 days from your first "credit" card with them to apply for a second.
I don't think there's a waiting period. Some on here have gotten 2 for 1 on the same day. Others get the 5 day hold message.
ETA: I originally got a message that it was pending and to call in. I called that day and was told that it was on hold for 5 days. Never heard back so I just called in and was told I was approved and they just needed to verify my information. First card was approved for $1000. Second was for $6000! My biggest SL so far

From what I've been reading on here, the one credit one charge is the way to avoid the 5 day hold on the second app. I found that out the hard way
