Re: Stingy with CLI

Citi SP's suck and are a bit of a nuisance in my book.  2K every 6 months is getting annoying... then again I usually only use them for $25/mo for the phone bill.  Missed out on the glitch last month and those people were snagging multiple SP's for upwards of 40K worth of CLI's.  So, we know the CL's are there to be had but, muzzled by Citi unless you want to HP each time and roll the dice.

The lender people on this forum go on the most about being stingy is definitely Capital One.

You think so?  I'd probably put Capital One behind Chase.

At least with Capital One you can request and receive a SP CLI; With Chase, you can't.  I see tons of people that are approved for X limit with Chase and a decade later still possess that same limit.  There are some [relatively] rare references of auto-CLIs on Chase accounts, but those are usually low SLs that as a result see a high (percentage wise) use of that CL, prompting the CLI.

Stingiest by far for me was Ebates Visa... Couldn't get it to budge from $1500 no matter who I called or how much spend.

Cap One Union Plus MC hasn't budged from $2500, but in all fairness I put $18 on it in the last year.

Elan gave me one $2500 CLI while I barely used the card.

Chase has given me 2 SP CLI's totalling $6500 since 2016.

Amex Blue Cash has given me 3 - 2X CLI's since 01/2017.

Discover started at $5500 in 2016 and has grown to $20.7K

... And then there's BoA.. Started at $2500 3/2017, now at $65K!
