Does anyone know when Synchrony Bank has a cut off with how many cards they will approve someone for? I applied for 4 cards in a weeks time and was approved for all 4 and very decent CL I am afraid if I apply for a couple more they might start closing some. I want to at lease finish 2015 out with a goal of $12,000 total credit available right now between Cap 1 and Synch bank i have $10,850.00 2016 is going to be my gardening year no apps no more HP and just let the AAoA grow? Any feedback or suggestions are always welcome. Have a Great Day Everyone Cap 1 QS $1300 Cap 1 Platinum $500 Amazon Prime $2100 Lowes Store Card $1300 Walmart Master Card ( not store card) $1600 Ebay Mastercard $3000 Belk $450
and yes i still have my Credit One Visa from when I started $600 but will be cancelling at the end of the year since i paid the $75 fee
Congrats on the NEW CAR
I just really had a goal in mind of reaching $12K total CL for the year but it doesnt seem it will be a reality for me at this point even though SYnch Bank is one of the more generous banks for issuing credit cards

I agree that is a dangerous idea you should call solutions and trying to bump up to make your OCD number. Otherwise just use them heavy this holiday season and in 3 months they will auto increase on their own
+1
Synchrony bank does not have a limit on the number of accounts that you can have with them, they have a limit on the maximum exposure you can have with them. It is $100,000.00. I have I believe 18 accounts with them and I am at the $100,000 credit limit throughout all my cards, and they will not increase my limits anymore. Please be aware though....all of their accounts have separate underwriting guidelines, so just because you got a $500 walmart account, does not necessarily mean that you will also be approved when you apply for a lowes card, gap card, Chevron card, etc.
underwriting ? you mean not all the cards issued by them are from Synch Bank ?
Why don't you just ask for a CLI from Lowes - they give them out like candy......
Ask for a $10K limit and they will either approve or counter with something lower - but it'll probably get you to your $12K limit over all!
i have already asked for an increase for a major purchase and they declined saying there is not enough expereince on the card yet to warrant an increase at this time
4 cards from one lender in the same week is really quite a lot and I would not apply for more from the same lender at this time. it's not wise to risk AA.

What are your current scores? The limits on your cards are low which indicates a somewhat thin file or lower scores.
I know the holidays are coming but you need some time to get your current limits up. How many inquiries on each bureau? Getting an extra $1000 in credit now won't help you.
I would leave Synchrony alone. Don't push any cli's with them either. Wait 4-5 months. How old are your Capital One cards?
Last December I had 2- 6month old au cards (Wal Mart with $600 raised that month to $1050, Capital One Platinum raised that month from $750 to $3750, and a 3 month old FNBO Visa with a $1300 limit). That same month I got my own Discover with a $500 limit and Bloomingdale's with a $1500 limit. The following month I got a Costco Am Ex with a $5000 limit.
Look at my siggy 11 months later.
Just hang tight and better cards and limits will come your way.
Is your Equifax over 660-670? You could app for Cabelas Visa. And maybe a Macy's IN STORE. Other than that I would leave your file alone till Spring.
