Asked for Synchrony Amazon CLI for the upcoming prime day big purchases- soft pulled Transunion- 3 minute wait - manager reviewed- and Declined because - "NO Real Estate loans"
DP- 800+ V/F scores all 3.
Anyone else received this message..?
I had this card for 6 yrs with an average spend of 500$/month and PIF.!
Sorry about the CLI denial! Do you have high utilization? High ratio of cards reporting balances? Anything else?
Thats a common reason code, but I guarantee denial was not based solely on that.
Utilization 3%, balances on 2 cards for CRAs, 6 other cards PIF before statement .
Are those 2 cards reporting high individual utilization, respective to their limits? Carrying balances for a long period? Like a BT for example.
No individual utilization greater than 10, I think it's the economy thing .!!
no BTs .

What is your current CL?
I agree the reason code is bs, but if you have an average spend of $500 on any line over $3k, they may not agree you need the increase.
max it out with your Amazon deals. Pay it off. Then see if they go for a CLI.

I dont know, ive never put heavy spend on my Amazon card and i was able to get it to 10k. Pre Covid, Sync was more TU score and to some extent how your overall credit looked to get increases, not spend based. Things are definetly changing now , i wont ask for any more cli from them as i have more than enough and no rrason to poke bears
. I think spending is good, if natural, but give some time and try again.
If the limit is 10k, that's most likely your answer. I believe a few have $12k, but that's rare.
You don't have enough debt yet. That's the problem ![]()
