Hello Everyone!
I requested a CLI by LUV button on a couple of my Synchrony cards that should be due for a CLI. I got the denial and when the letter came in the mail, it reads:
"We are not able to assign the credit line you requested because it exceeds the amount of increase our policy allows". Anyone seen this reason before? Of course, it was the LUV button, so there was no specific amount requested.
I received it for my Lowe's card (currently at $17k with about a $500 balance ... and my Toys R Us card (currently at $5k with zero balance). My total exposure with Synchrony is $86,600 with about 2% utilization and $110k annual salary.
Thanks in advance !!
Yep, I just posted about this the other day. I get that message all the time with the luv button on my Ebates & BP cards which are at 6k and 3K limits.
I know for a fact on the Lowes card, $17K is the max you can acquire with below a 740 TU FICO 8. Once you get 740+, you'll be able to hit $35K and you won't get that message any longer.

I'm at $35K on my Lowes now.

don't pay any attention to what Sync says in denials... they will just confuse you, it's a computer thing and all of a sudden one day you will request and it will be approved and then you will start getting that answer all over again!

I was told last month in a denial letter for BOTH my Walmart & Amazon Store cards that a reason was that they couldn't extend anymore or reached a limit (whatever)
YESTERDAY BOTH CARDS WENT STRAIGHT TO $10k respectively in 2 phone calls for about 5 minutes each.
Keep in mind the LUV button is using an old SP as well, vs calling Credit Solutions which they do real time SP.
I stopped using that button ages ago. I call CS for any CLI needs.
