What's so "new" about it?
Well that's actullay 10% cash back seeing gas is around $2.50 a gallon. That's pretty new. And it's a tu only pull what's your limit magic.
Unless i call in early Monday i might wait until online access is available in 48 hours.
I really like to see a reasonable starting line on this card.

Taxi, now you have me looking at it. Only problem is there's not many BP stations near me.
Same here B.
There is a couple of (participating) stations (for rewards) after a reasonable country drive to them and i have no issue since i'm a T-driver anyway.
Plus Indianapolis & Louisville are thick with them and about 100 mile trip one way but i shop those areas as well as pass thru them anyway lol
Issue for me is going to be sitting it out if that $1.5K SL sticks without some CLI relief for 4 months.
Interesting how Synchrony did bring back a few benefits that this card got nerfed for under Chase. Didn't it used to have some Double Up day every month? Not interested in getting this but I am glad that they did try to improve the card a little bit.
Interesting rewards structure, but I don't think it's that great. At best, it's effectively a 5% gas, 3% grocery/dining/travel, and 1% everywhere else card (where the rewards can only be used for BP gas). That's assuming your gas tank can hold 20+ gallons. For a car with a more standard 15 gallon gas tank, it's more like 3.75%/2.25%/0.75% card. Plus BP's are always 20-30 cents per gallon higher to start with than Sam's Club or Costco in my areas, but I guess if you don't patronize those places, this might be more appealing (though if you do the math, the $50 membership fees are made back 3x's over in gas savings even with moderate driving).
The rewards on the "store" version are just plain terribad though. Would really stink if you wound up with that one. It has the same rewards as their loyalty (non-credit) program. ![]()
Don't leave out the maddening APR just in case one wishes to carry over a small balance.
The first 90 days is an ok trade off for me compared to another card in CFNA Firestone where limits are sorely restrained to what, 2K i think.
I was closing firestone anyway after it reports and in spite of the drawbacks per rewards some might find with this BP Visa, it falls under Synchrony's jurisdiction now and not chase.
A plus on this end.
