@Anonymous wrote:Thanks 3x CLI guide! I just opened my mail today, activated my card, and got approved from 2K to 6K. Not a huge limit, but they just auto bumped my limit on my Amex Everyday from 9k to 12k on March 5th. 1 more year of 0% interest
This is going to sound like a stupid question, you started at 2000, I'm confused on if you then ask for 6000 or do you ask for what you want the new limit to be (8000).
You ask for 3x your current limit so for example in my case: 2k x 3 = 6k. 8k would have been 4 times my limit.
If you start with 8k then you could ask for 3x which would be 24k.

I was unfortunate today. Rejected for increase because of debt to income ratio. No credit debt but medical school student loans are killer along with an auto loan I'm the co on. Have discover, citi, American Express, and Bank of America travel.
Sorry to hear. What was your internal Amex Fixo score when u applied? Did you carry a balance on the card when you applied for cli?

I never carry a balance on any card, the balance when I applied was 0. The worst is my last statement my Bank of America card had $13 on it. Woo.
I don't know what my internal score is, she said I would recieve that in the mail.
My discover fico on my statement comes in at 752. Dunno what I come in with them. I'll let you know in 7-10 business days haha.
Thank you for sharing. Congrats again
Quick question, and a bit of background.
I opened my AMEX BCP August 2014, and I believe they gave me an $8,000 limit. I waited the appropriate amount of time and requested to $24,900 and I was approved. Not wanting to push my luck, I waited beyond the normal time and requested and was approved for $30,000.
Waited beyond the normal amount of time again and requested $45,000. I was told I'd need to verify my income with a 4506-T. I murmured a swear word to myself, backed out, and decided to see what $34,500 would do. Instantly approved.
I have no intention of going above or beyond this. However, will they still be sending me a 4506-T? Is that the same thing as the dreaded FR (financial review)? Since I was approved for a lesser amount, will I still be required to send one in? Or was the 4506-T required only if I wanted approval of $45,000?
Thanks!
So has anyone requested a CLI at activation and got denied (reason for denial "account too new) and then requested a CLI at 61 (instead of 91) days and got approved?
This month will be my 90 days. Last time I asked, they said no die to insufficient credit history.
This time I'm going to ask again, I might do it over the web instead of calling in like last time.
My credit score with Experian is 741. I do have a lot of inquiries, though. Anyone know if that will affect me negatively when asking for the 3x CLI?
