My guess is that you'd be able to take your $20k SL to $35k with your first CLI without IV, maybe $40k. Anything over that you'll have to submit POI.
Hey thanks!
I'd be happy at $30K! (Well...At least for a while!)
Once I'm done with using the 0% offer and get my UTI back under control I'm going to request CLIs on all my accounts and then hit the garden for a year or two. I think with a little more AAoA I can get my scores into the 800s. The mortgage, a new auto loan, 3 new CCs and high UTI on the BCE and Citi Diamond Preferred have really hammered my scores down.

Congrats! I tried at activation of the BCE but no luck. Just the normal is too soon message.
Same here. I tried after receiving the card, no dice. Put $900+ on it the first month, PIF as soon as the first statement cut. Tried again, denied again. Advised too soon for a CLI. Guess I have to wait the full 61 days. Patience is a virtue, but it sure is annoying sometimes lol.
Just tried today(day 61) on my BCP(10k).
Asked for 30k got 24.200. Now I'll just move 10k to my ED card and try again in 6 months.

Yes..180/181 days from the CLI with Amex. You probably could have requested at activation and received the 3x. Not sure why people don't try this. It doesn't hurt to try.
Especially if your not new to AmEx, I tried, they said I need to show some payment history and to request CLI in 90 days. (No idea why they said 90, im checking at 61, in a couple days.)

Day 61 on my Delta Skymiles...got the 7-10 day message. $1k SL, have been approved for a BCE since with the same limit. I burned through the $3000 spend with multiple PIFs in about 55 days, was hoping for a quick CLI bump, but it didn't happen.
Just thought I would add my CLI request info here. Today is my 61st day with my Gold Delta Skymiles card and I tried for a CLI online. For some reason it said call the CLI telephone number.
I called the CLI telephone number and put in the same information I did online. It said sorry, you are denied because you recently filed for bankruptcy. Keep in mind that my BK was filed in 2012 and was discharged in 2014. I have no current bankruptcy. So, mostly out of curiosity and because I thought it would be good information for the board, I opted to speak to a CSR.
The first CSR was pretty rude. She had an English accent (which I initially found charming) but simply couldn't answer my question. The question was, "is the CLI denial based on a pending/current bankruptcy or for any bankruptcy in the credit report?" There is a distinction which I believe she could not understand or didn't care enough to understand. I asked to speak to someone who could answer that question because she told me I needed to speak to Experian. My Experian report is accurate and it does still show a 2012 filed bk with 2014 discharge. Anyhow, she rudely placed me on hold without any kind of farewell and sent me to the regular customer service line.
Ok, so I finally got someone who answered the question. Although the robot said "recently filed bankruptcy" the denial is based on any bankruptcy which is still showing on the report. I specifically asked the second line increase CSR if, all else being equal, I wanted a CLI, I would essentially have to wait until the BK falls off. He said yes.
Although I have read that AMEX may grant a CLI on its own, apparently if I want to request one, I will have to wait until 2019. That sucks, because it's difficult to buy plane tickets with $1000 credit limit. Well, I'll keep AMEX happy and keep plugging away in the garden. I'm sure the CLI will come eventually.
Just another data point from a few pages back. My first CLI was from 11K to 33K, required IV. My next CLI required another IV at 99k, and i kept bumping it down until I got to 60K with no IV.
