Re: The Spree I Decree

@ElvisCaprice I am also a fan of the spree, especially given Chase's 5/24 rule.  How wonderful it is to drop from, say, 7/24 to 3/24 in a matter of days (or a single day)!

I've done 4 cards in 5 days (3 of those were with a single issuer) back in 2023.  My last spree was just less than two years ago where I opened one account and then two more 7 days later.  Never had any CLDs, balance chasing, or account closures because of either of these.  For reference, my account has zero late payments, no derogatories, and FICO 8s of ~740.

Looking to go on another spree, this one being my most ambitious to date:

  • Chase United Club Infinite
  • Wells Fargo Attune
  • US Bank Cash+
  • Comenity Ford Rewards Visa
  • AMEX Marriott Brilliant

My recommendations for attempting a spree include:

  • Know which credit bureau each issuer tends to pull in your state.
  • Order of applications should be a combination of priority (i.e., which cards are most important to you for approval) and inquiry-sensitive lenders.  In my case, Comenity and AMEX care less about same-day inquiries than Chase and Wells Fargo.
  • Space out your applications by at least a few hours (if not days) so that it doesn't look like bot behavior.

I've been gardening for nearly two years, and it's almost time!

Current FICO 8:

TCL: $265,710
