Oh, how could I forget about my Amex 3x CLI on the 20th? I'm wishing for success!

All i want for Christmas is a very FIRST! Sallie Mae. It's 2 tries down and looking for the 3rd time charm in 2015
You could have reconned until they gave you it.
Nope can do. Been there done that x3 and anyway if recent history is any sign, the last time that they shot it down i came back 4 months later for Rewards Card and they shocked with an Instant 5K! approval. So i'm going by their playbook again
But then you're doing what they want you to. Force their hand!
With 5 recent new approvals i think that's plenty enough for awhile. Besides the SL will be better next time around. I can wait another 3 months ![]()

It won't be because you waited, lol.
But alright, it's your HP to waste. ![]()
Well, I didn't ask for it, but Capital One just doubled my credit limit on my QS Visa from $3K to $6K effective, apparently, today! I haven't used the card in the last month (swithched over to the Citi Double Cash). I wonder if I can now get the QS Visa as a Visa Signature card.

Nice to know that you are so uniquely privy to how Barclay's assign their limits and when
And yes, it will eventually prove to be a HP well spent afterall.
@CreditCuriousity wrote:All I want for Christmas is for AMEX to give me any one of there cards so I can get to use the MSD from a card I have been an AU user since the 80's. I need backdating badly!
I have been a good boy this year with regards to being great with my credit, lets forget about prior years geeze!
They don't backdate to AU MSDs. #FunFact
All I want for christmas is the $200 bonus from the freedom....but I dont need another app right now =/

Barclays continues to be an odd child when it comes to CC approvals. I was not implying that you building a relationship with them on another product wouldn't help you with a higher limit on a SM. I did however mean to say to not expect it. There is a member who has a 10K SM, and wound up with a ~$2,000 SM on their second.
So as you see there really is no SET method with this issuer.
They can go either way for sure. It's just a matter of precision timing sometimes and hitting that choice sweet spot aka: letting the clock tick down just long enough months to better position for bargaining when they turn up the interrogation heat ![]()
i want a discover, amex, and best buy, but i'll be in the garden for a long time!
I have all the cards I want for now (and a few I want to close) but I'd love to have Diner's remove a couple of HP's. lol Going to try again on Monday...![]()
