I was approved for a $10K SL, called when the card arrived, and a CLI was approved to $20K.  It is a secon pull, of course!!

Single pull for the approval and then a second when requesting the CLI, or were you double-pulled upon applying?  Which bureaus?

Usually single pull for approval w/EX for me then HP for CLI was thru EQ.

Re: Those that have reconned a Citi SL?

Just got my denial letter. It states, to many inquires in the last 12 months. I have a total of 6 on EQ which would include the two they pulled. Also it states, insufficient credit history. I opened 3 account in the past two months so my AAoA dropped to just over 2 years. My denial is based upon EQ.

Re: Those that have reconned a Citi SL?

Sorry to hear about your denial.

I'd like to add that denial reasons are all BS, just so everyone is aware.  While the person above may have been denied because of "too many inquiries" with 4-6, there are people out there with 50 inquiries that have been approved for the same card.  While they may have cited that your credit history is "insufficient" with just over a 2 year AAoA, I can assure you they've approved people with an AAoA of around 1 year many times.

All I'm saying is that you can't put much stock in denial reasons.  Basically they should all just give a general blanket statement that says "your profile wasn't strong enough to be approved for our product" or something, because that's ultimately what it comes down to.  No need for BS excuses/reasons.
