It's not the worst of the Credit One cards at $39 for an AF, but I would stay away from Credit One in most cases.  How far along in your rebuild are you, what other cards do you have, what sort of baddies, and where are you for scores? That info will help elicit better advice.  May also be better suited for credit cards section rather than credit applications?

Sounds like you have plenty of cards now. Use them, pay them off each month, and apply for CLIs. Your limits will grow and so will your score. The biggest advantage to doing this, is you will avoid CreditOne's predatory nature.

When I was in the early stages of rebuild I basically ate crow just to grind up to a higher tier, high interest low sl and fees etc.

You might want to check prequals and see if anything pops up, there are many of them, capital one, discover, synchrony cards, etc.

As stated previously I would steer clear of credit one if possible.

good luck to you.

Its early in the wee hours and I need coffee,

I just noticed your 2nd post. You have a pretty nice lineup, especially the Navy card, you want to grow that relationship in particular.

Agree . . I'm just going to let them all grow until something is tempting.

Re: Thoughts on Credit One Amex w/39 annual fee?

When I was first starting my rebuild I went with Credit One because I didn't know any better (other options). If I knew then what I know now I would have avoided Credit One altogether. In my opinion you don't NEED another card, but if you want another card I would look at Discover secured card. I know you already have a secured card but this one will also graduate after a short amount of time.
