Time frame post verification? Cap One Venture (approved, they say.)

Hello all.

I applied for the Venture on 7/5. I got "in review" or some such nonsense. Turns out there was a fraud alert placed. So, I faxed in DL & SS + utility bill and waited a couple of days. Called in and the guy said "congrats, you're approved" and then "oh wait, fraud department needs you to update fraud alert w/ contact info."

So I messed with Equifax FOREVER and finally was able to get my cell reported. Called the Cap One fraud line, let them know my # was there, and waited. Called back again Thurs the 9th  and was told I was approved! $5k only but it's my highest non-AU limit (doubles my highest) and heck, I'll take the sig card. They told me to call back and inquire about card shipment status. We are going to Vegas soon and I am dying to have it before we leave.

I called today (Mon the 13th) and was told "oh wait, fraud still needs to call you." Fraud never called me back from my messages but I was told I was approved so I figured they worked it out. I asked "melody" if she was sure, and if she could please check again - she came back and said "oops, you were approved. $5k." She said it shows I was approved on  July 5th but there's no account made for me yet and she assured me that I would have the card by tomorrow, 7/14! What? There's no account yet, how is a card going to be here?

So I guess my questions are 1) is this fishy or do you think I'm approved? I called and got another rep who didn't even mention fraud needing to call and said I was approved. I asked about fraud and they "apologized for the misinformation" I was given. 

2) Post verification, how long has it taken some of y'all to get your cards? If I was approved 7/5 I should have it soon but I have not received the CONGRATS YOU'RE APPROVED email nor the YOUR CARD HAS SHIPPED email.

FWIW, I was insta approved and I spoke with a rep today about how long it usually takes to get the card, and he said it could take up to 14 days. I apped this past Tuesday, the 7th. So I'm thinking I'll have my card by the 21st at the latest.

As for your situation, if multiple reps have confirmed you're approved, then you should be good. I think the fraud flag is just holding things up.

I was approved for both Venture and QS on the 8th. QS was shipped on the 10th. Got a call about fraud/verification over the phone for the Venture on the 12th. Received the QS on the 13th.

Still did not receive an email about my Venture being shipped. From what everyone seems to be posting Venture is taking longer to ship than other Cap 1 cards. I was able to link all of my cards to my account upon approval and after receiving the fraud/verification call was able to see that the Venture card was frozen online. Upon verification the CL and balance were unfrozen - if you have a Cap 1 login that is one way to check.
