If you got the Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select it is already the world elite, unless you got the business version or the mileup card.

lol..in my first post I mention "Platinum Select World Elite"...somehow yesterday I kept thinking I got the World...then I post a picture to show the two different cards. Attention to detail much dms1979? lol Yeah, I didn't get the business card so I got the one I want and got lucky since they literally just added the extra perks.

You actually can't apply for the Barclay's Silver Aviator's card initially.  They'll only approve a Red Aviator's Card; in six months you can request the upgrade.
