I figured out the magic potion!!!!
Here's how to do it: post a question on MyFICO asking for tips on how to get a Discover card CLI. Wait three days. Click the 'increase credit limit' button on Discover. Watch your request get APPROVED!!!
Last night, after sleeping meds etc., (have you noticed a pattern with me?), playing with my phone, I'm logged in looking at my account and thought, what the hell?! Pressed the button, instantly got an increase!
I was actually planning on starting a stack of rejection letters, like the one @JNA1 has, but now...I can't!
My limit is still not as high as my mom's original limit, BUT it's in 5-figures now so I'm very, very happy.
