I advise wait a year,
preferably 15 months, and go for one of their co-branded cards. They include Amazon (probably the best, well, imo...😁), southwest, ING, among others.
That’s how I got my Amazon! 🤓🤓🤓
Lmaooo to be honest mate, i really dont want to wait that long. 😂😂 believe me, I can’t keep my *** from applying when I should be leaving the Credit card applications ALONE. Maybe 8 months? Eight would do you good.Probably going to give a shot December this year right before the holidays

Im sure I should be between 680-720 across the board and low util. My reports will be squeaky clean by then too. Might have 1 or 2 dings on Equifax lol.
Current cards:
Cathay Pacific Visa: $2500
Barclays Apple: $1200
Capital One QS: $300
US Bank Secure: $300
Planning on closing the US Bank and maybe QS if they dont raise my limit lol.
Yeah I also want the Chase Amazon and will give that a try as well. Hard card to get? I thought so, but I got mine with a lot of new accounts, and hard pulls. 2K SL made me 😡 though.....
AND ONLY GETTING 3K CLI! 😒😒😒😠😠

Man you have all the cards I want, i see in your siggy. Haha. Id be satisfied to garden for 2 years with those cards
What were your scores when u applied for Amazon Visa? I think they pull Experian.
They do, scores were holy **bleep** 660!! 😮😮😮😮
haha at my signature! 🙃🙃

No wonder I got freaking 2K!! OMG.

If you could wait 2 years that would be amazing.. but not realistic...
If you could wait 1 year.. that would really work out well since the ding from the fresh inquiries has worn down...... And there are banks who like to see a year of credit history with one of the more major banks...
But in reality... I think your problem is AAoA vs the HP dings... and banks are known for just going for a cheap reason out.. that may not be entirely accurate....
Grow your cards until near the end of the year and see where you can take your score.... That may be a better indicator to app for another card or two vs just saying. oh wait x months then go app spree.. Not a good idea these days IMHO...
Good luck and keep on gardening...

As far as inquiries go, I have a grand total of 21 over the three CRA's; 9 TU (4 over 1 year old), 8 EQ (4 over 1 year old, one dropped off for good last month), and 4 EX (2 over 1 year old). I'm going to have at least one TU HP age to 1 year in October and another one drop off completely in November/December, and an EQ HP age to 1 year in September/October. If I can push gardening out to February/March 2019 (my willpower may not last that long, LOL) I'll have the triple HP for my now-combined Cap One QS MC and the EQ HP for my car loan drop off completely in February and the Discover HP (I think both EQ and EX) drop off in March, as well as at least five other HP's age to 1 year by mid-March. Two more HP's will go for good in June 2019 (Walmart and Apple FCU, both TU).
Inquiries are one of the smallest factors when it comes to FICO scoring and far too much concern is generated surrounding inquiries on this forum, IMO.

I actually agree with that...I'm still debating with myself about testing the waters again after the six-month mark has passed since that would give enough time for the vast majority of my inquiries to have aged to at least 1 year. Except for last June/July when I got Walmart, Penfed and Apple FCU within less than four weeks, my new-account inquiries have always been spaced at least 1 month apart, sometimes as much as 4. I could be wrong but I think much of the problem with lots of new inquiries has been from having a lot of them spaced real close together, as in literally days or even hours apart. There's also the fact that for car loans and, I believe, mortgages, all inquiries within a 2-week period count as one HP put together.

I see that limiting HP on a CR is really only important when you are applying for a loan and your FICO is borderline as to if you get approved or approved at an interest rate you are shooting for.
