Didnt hear back so called a rep. (dont know why they list 2 days) She sounded very nice, I almost wished I would have tried for a CLI over the phone with her but I realize I need to pay all balance down to look good before that 
Anywho, she said she didnt see it then, oh wait there it is. My 2nd one was submitted too close to the first one so the system declined. She said if I were still wanting to try for a credit limit increase I can still apply for one periodically once in awhile.
Sooo thatd be why I got a 2 day message maybe. Either way, try again in 2 weeks

I got same message as you. Did not hear back. Maybe because I only waited 1 week. I will try again in 30 days. My balance too high right now.
My first CLI after about 2 months was 500 dollars, I owed 1129 on a 1300 limit. I thought the high balance would of been a bad thing. Who knows with these things
Some people say they get a phone call from Discover when they get that message on a cli decline. Since I didnt get a phone call and a letter takes longer than 2 days I just called em. I thought it was going to be an online message for the answer=/
I got two in two weeks. A statement did cut in between.
