I was declined.
Apparently, the "name, address, or Social Security Number" I provided was different from the information they used in the pre-approval offer. I don't get how that could be but oh well.
BUMMER! That would suck to get your hopes up and then BAM!

Yeah, really disappointing. I was hoping for some good news about simply needing to verify identity. Don't get how the info was different from the pre-approval since I was very careful filling it all out.
Sadly you do not hear of that happening very often. I had it happen to DW and a short time later it popped up again and that time she was approved, so don't give up! ![]()

Thanks. I'll keep trying from time to time. At least it was a soft pull, so there's that. ![]()

Reading the other person's thread, I decided to try Overstock. Same thing over there. Lol.
Pre-approval pop-up, information submitted, then a message about getting a letter within 10 days. Damn, lol.

WOW...Give them a call, something is not right!

I'll try calling them tomorrow.

Any luck with them? I also applied for JCrew but got the 7-10 day message ![]()
The shopping cart trick like anything else isn't foolproof. You are not going to get approved 100% of the time just because of the pop up. It sucks because of it being something stupid, but sometimes it just doesn't work out.
