U.S. Bank Cash+ Approval or Denial?!

I applied for the U.S. Cash+ card last Saturday and since then the automated message had said still in processing. I called this morning and it stated that it was unable to be approved so I ended up talking to the underwriter and he said that they only needed to verify my income and housing status since for some reason it got lost. So he said that the application will be placed back into processing and I'll receive an answer in about 3 days.

Has anyone experienced this and if so what was the outcome?

Any thoughts?!

Yes I have experienced this only with my first application. It said unable to find my application then one CSR said denied then another said approved. Apparently they're so huge of an organization the left hand doesn't talk to the right hand. Their app status line is about 50% reliable.

So weird. If you don't mind me asking, what eventually happened in your case?

It took me two tries to get approved. Having a banking relationship seemed to finally help. In the case I mentioned it was approved, the card just showed up about 14 days later
