I can't find any post on the forum regarding UNFCU's policy with new membership and their card application.
My membership was just opened and immediately after I applied for the Azure card. The application was denied for the reason "Membership must be for a longer period of time". No hard pull or anything.
Do you know how long do I have to wait to be qualified for their card?
UNFCU is fairly conservative @NyaBuksh. I would wait 6-12 months, if anything. Having said that, and based on your recent spree of CC activities in the Approvals forum, you may have to wait longer than that. They're not fond of excessive credit seeking activites, especially in a short timeframe.
Thank you
Some interesting small print regarding credit card limits on UNFCU's website.
The amounts listed represent the maximum credit limit for that card for qualified members in an eligible country. Your approved loan amount could be less than the amount you requested due to a number of factors. All applicants are subject to credit approval. No member without a home loan can have unsecured loan amounts totaling more than $150,000. This individual maximum includes unused lines of credit. The maximum amount can be extended to $225,000 if you have or are applying for one of our international home loans. Members who joined UNFCU via UNA-USA or KI USA must be a member for at least 12 months to qualify for an unsecured loan. All other terms and fees (PDF) for UNFCU credit cards apply to all cardholders.
I wonder if they're speaking of aggregate CL's from all lenders or specifically $150K with UNFCU?
@ChargedUp Thank you for this info. So I need to wait 12 months as a member before I apply again.
I read somewhere that they do offer credit limit that high on their credit cards.
I had a lot more than $150K in aggregate limit across all cards when I picked up my Elite.
As for individual limits the Elite officially tops out at $100K and the Azure at $50K. It could be that they will quietly exceed a limit on a case-by-case basis if the applicants financial resources and overall relationship with the credit union supports it.

It's specific to UNFCU.
I currently don't have a mortgage with UNFCU (or elsewhere) and my current CL is $100K. I'm sure it can go higher but that's plenty sufficient for my needs.

Right.
UNFCU currently limits one CC product per customer (unlike in the past where 2 were possible).
wow their mortgage rates are through the roof above everyone else. they 100% do not want to make fixed mortgage loans in the US
