Sorry about the denial.
Sorry about the denial. I was in the same boat as you. I didn't get a CLI until my scores hit 704 several months ago but it will happen soon enough for you.

Sorry about your denial, hang in there .. You will eventually get it.
Think you were a victim of the moving goalposts with scores and risk that has seemed to happen in the past few months... you'll get it.. keep working on your score and try again later down the road....

I'm not gonna sugar coat it like everyone else. You're probably looking at a year, maybe two before you get an increase. Next month will be 2 years for me and I have yet to receive an increase. I make 70k a year and put between 3-7k across my cards every month and pif. The only time I have seen any type of relationship lending is with my last 2 cards. I applied before my scores updated with them after utilization pay down and both were approved at a 625. The Delta Platinum was a $1400 limit.
At this point, my other card limits have started to blow past them and the only reason I keep using them is because of the rewards.

I did demonstrate that I could repay as I have put over $3k spend within the 61 days. Hopefully, in time, they'll warmup. 😊

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. You've got a great card. Get your utilization under 5% across the board, take care of the CO before you re-apply. It's a soft pull right? Rinse & Repeat until you are approved. Persistence and determination are keys to any worthy endeavor. You WILL get this CLI and much much more. The skies the limit!
@Brooklyn2018 to echo what @Brian_Earl_Spilner said, as long as you have those COs, Amex is going to treat you like a stepchild.
They will approve, put a leash on, and keep it there till your CR is clean.
The whole "they are getting to know you" is a lie, really.
People put spend on their that would better be served elsewhere to buy their love, but that doesn't really work.
Use cards that give you the best rewards, don't use them to show you can pay, because in Amex eyes, COs mean you can't.
That's just how they are.
Eventually you will get a CLI, but you won't see that glorified growth untill your report is clean.
Also, if you apply for other Amex cards, they will probably approve, but it will be this exact situation.
I'm really not sure why so many sugarcoat this particular aspect of Amex UW. It is what it is, they aren't going to change, and you should do what's best for your wallet, not what's best for Amex.

Honestly, if I put the spend on my cap1 cards that I've put on amex, I'd probably have close to a 10k limit by now. At least with them, I know that the more I spend, the more credit they'll give me.
