Re: **UPDATE** finally, a decision from blispay

****UPDATE ****

today, 6/29,  i finally got the letter telling me the reason i was denied by blispay.  first, this makes me so angry i can barely think.....

only reason was  "UNABLE TO VERIFY IDENTITY OF APPLICANT"

they never even tried, they never asked me for anything.  only a phone call to verify my address.  i would have gladly sent over proof of address, and even an identity report i can get from equifax as part of my monitoring service.    they flat out denied me without even making an effort.  that right there, the lack of even trying, makes me furious.

i wonder how many other applicants were denied with the same BS response.  with such poor servicing, perhaps it was a blessing i didnt get it.  i wanted it for the hidden tradeline but ill just focus on other banks.

fico scores - August 2024:

TCL - 174K - UTIL - less than 1%

Sorry to hear about the denial for such a bogus reason.  You aren't the first to reference this reason either... I agree with you that they should have made some effort by reaching out to you and requesting whatever they needed.  That's a shame.

Sorry to hear OP.  I had this happen with BBVA and I filed a CFPB complaint and ended up getting approved for 20k and2 BBVA inq's removed which left me with just one original BBVA inq.  Some people have had success with CFPB and some have not.  Just an option for you.  At very least, you may be able to get the inq removed.

+1. Definitely give the CFPB a try.  CreditCuriousity was declined for the very same reason and eventually was able to get the denial turned into an approval after filing the complaint.  There is absolutely no reason that so many people are declined for this bs reason.  If they are able to identify you enough to pull a credit report then they can verify you with a little effort. They need to be pushed and eventually they'll cave.

haha I got a letter yesterday with this exact same denial reason - though they auto-denied me right after pulling my EX report...

Looks like we need to really put our foot down with these clowns!!

Sorry OP Smiley Sad frowny face.

Why not try to recon it ! You took the hardpull!

I don't have any desire for the card, but if it was the hidden trade line you fancied, it can't hurt.

I'm mad for you.
