Hey forum, I want to share this incident that caught me off guard in order for you guys to be prepared.
I received a call this morning from someone claiming to be from U.S. Bank, a lady named Centillia M. caller ID was 1-855-625-7356.
She claimed she noticed I was interested in the Altitude Go Visa which is true because every time I log into the app, it reminds me to finish the Cc application for this card.
She wanted to help me finish the application which sounded sketchy, at first I thought she was trying to steal my info but I was wondering how she knew I had looked in to the cc application. I was busy and ended the call.
I called customer service(credit department) and they had no idea about this practice.
I didn't bother in returning the call, rather I just went ahead and applied on my own, check out my experience
A couple minutes later I got an email from Centilla M. following up to our conversation and her email has the US Bank domain. Her signature states This:

I now think it's legit, I think she was just doing her job, the U.S. Bank website has posted job openings in this field and the job description is exactly what happened:
National Outreach Relationship Consultant-Bilingual - US Bank careers
If you think about it, thats is really good relationship between bank and client.

Not sure initializing calls to customers and helping them complete applications is a wise approach. Your sketch radar went up as soon as she called, right? Why would a company use that method? Certainly other people will susspect this as fraud as well. Sounds like a recipe for complaints.
