Went to US Banks' pre qual page and got the following offers... Cash+, AMEX 365 and FlexPerks. All 3 have APR ranges from 15.9- 24.9%. after 1 year at 0%. Im in the garden and after reading on various boards that if given a set of ranges its probably a denial, has this changed?
I don't know about the ranges being a denial but, i believe you have a better chance with when it states a set APR. I was unsure i would be aproved because I was getting a range 3-4 months ago and after reading it's a possible denial I didnt apply. When i checked in December after my scores improved I noticed I had a set APR so I applied and was approved.
If you can add some data points to your post it might help when other chime in that may have had approval with similar data.

I wouldn't say the assessment is that it is "probably a denial," rather, I believe it could go either way when you get a "range" of APR. Conversely, the data points for numerous creditors seem to indicate when you receive a "specific" APR or possibly even a very narrow "range," the likelihood of approval is increased although certainly not guaranteed.
Based on what you are receiving, I would not put a lot of confidence in that as a true "preapproval."
