USAA 2.5% Cashback Direct Deposit Requirements

Hi all,

I was approved for this card a little while back but with being so busy of late haven’t yet set up a direct deposit. I was curious about the actual requirement options for direct deposit. Are the rules set in stone to where you MUST have a direct deposit of $1,000 per month minimum? Or can you split the deposits up into increments up to $1,000? Also does ACH deposits count towards the $1,000 minimum monthly deposit to earn the 2.5% CB?

You need one ACH $1000 deposit from a different bank to qualify. You can't break it up into multiple deposits.

Thanks for the quick response Gmood. So does this $1,000 deposit have to be say like a payroll direct deposit monthly to qualify? Or can you just deposit a $1k ACH from another bank monthly to qualify?

Doesn't have to be a payroll check. All you need to do is push an ACH from a different bank. USAA will let you know if you qualified or didn't qualify for the month and give fair warning when the 2.5% will end, if the deposit isn't met.
