Hey everyone,
I've been on the mission of repairing my credit for the past year. I have joined NFCU about 4 months ago, and my wife just put me on to USAA. It seems like NFCU wont give me a card at all even after having their secure card for a couple months and following the 91/3 rule. So i think maybe its time to try with USAA.
My understanding is that they pull from EQ...
What fico score model do they use for their credit cards?
What should i make sure is OK before trying to apply for a card?
How about auto loans/refinance, is it the same score system?
Thank you in Advance.
They are pretty lax score wise. Somewhere is the 650 range is more then enough. However they do use FICO 3 which is stupidly way outdated and useless but they use it anyways. You must be the primary account holder at USAA to get a card otherwise you can only get a AU card. Best of luck to you.
USAA pulls EX in Arizona...You never really know until you try.

Also nobody around here says it's a guarantee that 3 months with the secured card at nfcu will net you another card it could take 6 months or longer, responsibly use that card wait until the first one graduates then you can try for it
