USAA waiting three weeks for a credit card decision

I applied for the USAA Amex card last week. When I applied, I had my Experian credit file frozen, so I had to call the next day to confirm the freeze was lifted. After that, I heard nothing and there is not an update online. I finally decided to call USAA for the app status and I was told my app decision is scheduled for April 5th. He said because I didn't have my credit file open for the first pull my application is delayed. Has anyone else had that experience with USAA?

Starting Score: Equifax 499 (1/22/2020); TransUnion 525 (1/22/2020); Experian 523 (1/24/2020)
Current Score: Equifax 723 (11/30/2022); TransUnion 725 (11/30/2022); Experian 706 (11/30/2022)
Goal Score: 750

No telling. When you apply for any credit you can place a temp freeze for 1 day on all 3 CRA's. Thaw the day of approval. Midnight its frozen again. Then you wouldnt have to go thru this. Some creditors use a certain CRA at all times. Some depends on where you live. Good Luck! Let us know in approvals.
