Update! Navy Federal CLI request placed on weekend question?

Hi all, 

At 110 days my 3rd Flagship CC statement just cut on 4/08. The 1st statement was a partial statement that cut 10 days after approval. I purposely waited  3 full statements along with having the partial to make sure I wasn't requesting a CLI too early on my Flagship CC. I requested on day of 3rd statement posting which was this past saturday and got the 24 hr message. Still today 4/9  I haven't seen any change. My question is are the odds of approval lower on the weekends? I've noticed even on my last CLI submitted on Saturday that I didn't get a reply either and had to call on Monday morning inquiring about it. This is my second card and thought for sure I'd hear something. Seems it like crickets when you request a CLI on Saturday. Anyone else notice this or are they closed on the weekends?

Shouldn't make a difference. I requested one on Thursday or Friday and after 48 or 72 hours they approved it (no notification given, but I did notice the change in CL).

I would assume that department isnt open on Sunday. Very unlikely this weekend because of Easter. Was not related to a CC but I did call on a Saturday and was told I need to speak to the correct department on Monday.

Oh ok👍 Yeah I was waiting for that 3rd statement to cut yesterday morning (Sat) and about 10 minutes after seeing it I went straight to the CLI button. 😆 Got bummed out a bit because with an 840 fico 9, over $3000 spent in 3 months to get the promo money. 0 balance and 1% utilization I figured it would be instant or would have gotten something by now. Weird how after you get the 24 hr message there's crickets. I can't stand it. 😒

Yes the holiday crossed my mind as well guess I'll have to call in the morning to inquire. Seems to me that the best time to request a CLI with Navy is during the weekdays.😒

Yes, for this particular card. I have a Amex More Rewards that I received 8k on taking me from 15k to 23k a week or so ago but was due another CLI on my Flagship sitting on $9100.  Saturday 4/8  made 110 days, 3 statements and 10 day partial statement. I asked for 35k.🙂 I asked for 50k  max on the 2 CLI's  I received on the More Rewards. Got 8k both request. So lowered request  to 35k this time for my Flagship.

Might as well just ask for what you want,  NFCU currently caps SP CLIs at $8k (for a while when the pandemic was raging they had dropped the max to $4K).  ;-)

If approved for the second request, you're likely going to get the same counter for your Flagship.
