Update: approved. When to apply for Marriott Amex after closing a card

Closing the loop on this. I applied and was approved for the Marriott bonvoy brilliant Amex. I was actually pre-approved anyway, which I never even checked before I posted this. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyway, approved for crappy 3100 SL. Will hit that 3x button in 61 days while I run up 5k in purchases multiple times lol. I did get the 125k though which is awesome. Thanks all. NOW I'm officially in the garden.
