@GZG thank you again for the link and info! Decisions, decisions! I only ran the pre approval with my wife's info so far since she's had a card with Capital One for 10 years. Not sure if she's gonna want this card or not. I wish they told you the projected starting limit like the Apple Card and FNBO pre approvals do! That would help with the final decision!

haven't seen DPs yet on how reliable the Venture X pre-approval is, though the Cap1 pre-approval is typically reliable in and of itself
it has a minimum CL of 10k, I wonder if they even have SL's that aren't 10k, 20k or 30k?

Looks like if they can't approve for VX it also checks for other Venture cards. It offered me the VentureOne for Good Credit. Didn't take it but good way to track if you're getting closer to a VX.
While I didn't proceed with finishing the app I unexpectedly had VX, Venture, and V1 on the preapproval link. Given my profile, no card over $5k and 2 modest limit Cap 1 cards this was not what I was expecting to see. If I wasn't so fearful of a denial given a 3B hit I would defintely reconsider and maybe proceed with the app. I could make the card have value despite the high AF.
