I don't like the 3 HP and I don't know how much that will change the car terms. I'm not teasing. I don't think there is a way to know for certain if they will approve me and if they do if the SL is going to be 10K. That makes me nervous. Sorry.

I'll keep thinking about apping. My Amex reported 27% util and it will report 9% on June 3rd.

If you are nervous then it is best to wait.  Nervousness is not a good sign.  You should be confident when hitting the submit button to wait it out a bitSmiley Happy

Re: Venture temptation

If on the fence then don't do it. The last thing you want is someone on this board making decisions for you.

Re: Venture temptation

I'd go for it. thats a great rate. 10k seems to be  a common starting limit  for many, I havent seen that rate much. Not that any of this is gauranteed but ...

May not be that uncommon, I got the 12.9% rate too on their pre-qual tool and I'm not exactly gold-plated Smiley Happy.

It's one of my targets post-mortgage-keys for certain though not certain on order yet, sadly several of the things I want all hit EX

Re: Venture temptation

Well, the temptation was too much. I was able to wait until today to apply (5 months from last app).

Got Venture, 15K and 12.9%. My highest limit was 6K

Re: Venture temptation

I would have went for it too. I wouldn't worry too much about car financing interest rate. If your income is what you say it is and you have good scores; you'd probably be better off trying a local credit union or get a loan from DCU. If those don't pan out maybe you can get the dealership to finance you with their own company for 0%. I think you'll be fine though. Congratulations on your limit! I still can't believe someone on these forums got a 60k CLI with 30k cash available. If I got that kind of credit line I'd probably just stick with just that one card lol. Useful for all life emergencies among other things.

Good luck with your auto loan!

Re: Venture temptation - Update 06/05

I got the Venture in March and 7 days later I got a new car lease with no problems. Go for it. That's a good offer.
