Very weird Comenity denial letter?!

Maybe some of you guys would be able to understand this but I just don't.. They did a hard pull so will call the EO and see if I can get it removed/ get the decision overturned...

Goodluck. I would ask for a manager when you call right off the bat to save your breath.

That's a new one, can honestly say I have never seen that reason before. I like how it says it's easy to reapply and that they have the technology and ability to capture the information needed to reapply. Where was this technology in the first place? how did you originally apply?

I ran into something similar when I tried to get a CLI on my BofA card that I hold jointly with my 19 year old daughter.

I applied online including her info as joint applicant.  Auto-Approval, but when I received the card and info there was no mention of my daughter, so I called in.  They had me conference in my daughter and essentially ran a new app with her on the phone finally approving her to be added as co-owner of the account.  No signature required.

Then when I went for a CLI they emailed me a form that she had to sign stating it was required because she was under 21.

What's it all mean?  I don't realy know, but there's clearly some aspect of the CARD act that some banks are sometimes interpreting to mean that an actual signature is required for 18-21 year olds.

Re: Very weird Comenity denial letter?!

I apped via the CST, I'm just gonna call them and be like "what does this mean?!?" If I can't get it overturned I'm gonna try my heart out to get them to recode it as a SP, as of right now all 3 of my CRAs is frozen so I'm not applying for anything else..

Re: Very weird Comenity denial letter?!

I don't even think this is even a true denial letter, it doesn't even list a score or any of that.. Very weird..

You're right, it's not a denial of credit letter.  It's a "we didn't process your application" letter.

That's the tact I would with your phone call - If you didn't process my application, then there should have been no hard pull.

Yeah that is weird. I would either call or I have had sucess writing a letter to Comenity Capital Bank before, just to the standard address on their website and it put ATTN: Executive Office. A nice lady contacted me and removed the the tradeline in question from my reports. I am sure they could do the same for the inquiry or get it over turned if that's the case.
