So I applied for Virgin America on 8/13 called in today to check the status of app.... was told a letter was sent on 8/19 for me to call in..... I asked if she can email it to me bcus I didn't receive it yet.... the reps said yes asked my email n said I would recieve it in a few minutes.... I got the email called in an asked to verify my name. address, and last 4 of social...... she then said they needed to verify some question with me, placed me on hold.. then came back on the phone and aid they already verified everything and it's being processed now I will either receive my card or letter in 7-10days!!! WHAT??? somebody please tell me what's going on here??

Someone here had the exact scenario and was denied....the reason, he provided a piece of wrong info on the app by mistake which didnit match when Virgin America ran the CR. I think he/she was going to have to wait month/months to reapply.

They need access to EXP even though they don't HP.. Not good as they use it as validation by SP through a third party or something weird.. Probably a denial if Exp was froozen.. Best of luck though! I have just read alot and make sure my Eq/Exp was unfroozen when I applied for Total Rewards due to this scenario.
I get why people freeze their reports but when you freeze 2 of 3 it's not hard to understand why approvals are difficult to come by. The freezing of credit reports is not designed for the purpose of preventing creditors from checking that report when you apply for credit.
