Rebuilding here after Ch 7 BK in 2011.
I applied today with my credit union for an unsecured Visa. My numbers are low but rising and we have had a very good relationship with our CU. I made a note on the application that my only other CC - Cap1 platinum hasn't reported for the month but the balance was $97 of $2000 CL and could provide documentation of such upon request. In addition, asked for a $1.5k credit line with a note that I would accept a counter offer. Here's to hoping.... been trying HARD to add another bank card to my report. They will let me know within 24 hours.
If they approve, I am considering applying immediately for a CapOne quicksilver to get to the magical third bank card, but I really wanted to wait till Cap1 reported my platinum balance chnge (it was at 89% UTIL last month). Trying to be patient but really wanting to be able to garden a bit to raise my scores... I was confident they would approve... until I hit the submit button.
